What was the Moab workshop like?!

The Love on Earth Workshop hosted another event this past November, but this time in Moab, Utah! Education was presented by Traci Edwards of Adventure and Vow on how to build a portfolio that speaks the language of your business, how to plan styled shoots and how to leverage your business with the images taken. Malachi Lewis of Shell Creek Photography on SEO and getting your website to rank on Google as a way to market for free constantly. We also had a virtual class all on how to set up your Pinterest for business and use it as a tool to bring in new business and get traffic to your website with Ayalie Marketing.

We stayed in an awesome Airbnb looking towards the La Sal Mountain range complete with a hot tub. It was the perfect space for educational classes, dining, hanging out, and editing after the epic styled shoots. In this workshop we went all in for the adventure styled shoots. Our first styled shoot was complete with Jeep photos, getting ready by a tent, climbing, repelling and even a rope swing. We ended the first night with s’mores around the campfire and teaching how to do starry night photos with Traci and Malachi. The next morning started with a styled shoot overlooking a big canyon with two different couples modeling and two different setups created by Moab Intimate Weddings.

We love creating a space where attendees get one on one time with couples and also time to get their portrait taken by us hosts and attendees. After our SEO class, we ended day two with a styled shoot out in the canyons with beautiful music played by Succulents for Hire and a beautiful “ceremony” between the couple and their daughter. Ending the styled shoot and evening with a first dance by their jeep and pop up roof tent. The styled shoots were diverse in content, location, and activities.

The Moab workshop was the third workshop we have hosted and they just keep getting better and better. The Moab workshop was so much fun, with so many epic places to shoot and the space to gather we are chatting about possibly doing another one here in the future!

Malachi and I strive to bring education to the table that will help you grow your elopement photography business and help you be prepared for the shoots with proper permits, packing your bag for the job, and prepping your couple. We love seeing our attendees grow leaving our workshop with lots to do with the knowledge they have learned, a community they can grow in and ask for help when needed, portraits that show who they are, and images they can use to market with.

Our next workshop is in Joshua Tree – March 2022

For our next workshop, we wanted to bring in a new educator, someone that matched our love for teaching others, the love we have for this career, couples, and the planet, and someone who could bring something to the table that isn’t being taught right now. We are excited to have Aimee Flynn join us to teach about the mindset around your business, burnout, the comparison game, and more with her extensive background in psychology and being a full-time elopement photographer.

Check out this review form one of our Moab Workshop Attendees:

“Loved this workshop and everyone involved, It was well organized, a fun adventure and extremely educational. I am walking away with a lot of things I will be implementing into my business, a bunch of photos to create content, and new friends in the industry with who I’m already scheduling meet ups with. I know the educators will be there for me and my business- they truly are invested in everyone who attended and willing to share their knowledge. I got to ask questions specific to my business during breaks and they are topics I had been stewing on for months! The styled elopements were beautiful with high end products, couples who enjoyed being there, and beautiful locations you would actually take a couple to elope at. I only wish this workshop could have gone on longer because it was SO MUCH FUN! However, I’m happy it’s over so I can start improving my business!”
